Laser Vision Correction

Was founded in 1993. USA Medical Resources, Inc, through its COO, was one of the four founders of 20/20 Laser Centers, and its Chief Operating Officer. Before laser vision correction (and the equipment) was approved in the United States, the company signed agreements with ophthalmologists and optometrists to arrange their training in the procedure in Canada, with the agreement that they would be part of the 20/20 system, once the technology was approved in the United States. Within weeks after the procedure was approved in the United States, 20/20 Laser Centers had contracted with more than 800 optometrists and ophthalmologists, created a strong brand name recognition in the United States, and an experienced management team. The Company was sold to the Canadian public company, TLC Laser Centers, to provide their expansion into the United States.
